Terms of Service

By creating an account, signing in with Steam, listing an item, purchasing an item, or otherwise using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 18 (or age of majority in your jurisdiction). You must have legal capacity to enter binding contracts. You must own a Steam account in good standing with tradable CS2 items. You must not reside in a sanctioned country.

You access FloatSkins via Steam OpenID. We do not see or store your Steam password. You are responsible for the security of your Steam account, mobile authenticator, and trade URL. One account per person; no transfers or sharing.

FloatSkins is a peer-to-peer marketplace. Sellers list CS2 items they own; buyers pay through the Services; the exchange happens via Steam Trade Offers between seller and buyer. We do not take custody of items. The browser extension displays float values, reference prices, and pattern data on supported marketplaces.

Buyer pays through the Services; funds are held until the trade completes; seller is notified and must send a Steam Trade Offer within the deadline; buyer accepts; system verifies and releases funds minus fees. If the seller fails to send, the buyer is auto-refunded. Final delivery depends on Steam infrastructure.

Buyers pay the listed price plus any payment-processor surcharge. Sellers may be charged a marketplace fee on completed sales. The current fee structure is shown in your Wallet and at the point of listing. We may adjust fees with notice. All amounts are USD by default.

Sale proceeds are credited to your in-app wallet. Withdrawals above legal/risk thresholds require Know-Your-Customer verification through our identity partner. FloatSkins is not a bank; wallet balances do not earn interest and may be reversed in cases of chargebacks, fraud, or Terms violations.

No listing items you do not own. No misrepresenting float, paint seed, stickers, or condition. No off-platform completion after a buyer commits. No bots/scrapers/automated tools beyond the FloatSkins extension itself. No money laundering, chargeback fraud, harassment, impersonation, or reverse engineering.

If a trade fails (not sent, wrong item, item swapped), open a dispute within 24 hours. Our team reviews evidence and decides at our discretion; decisions are final. Refunds for delivered items are not generally available because Steam transfers are irreversible. Off-platform chargebacks may trigger suspension and recovery.

You accept risks tied to Steam: outages, Steam Guard / authenticator issues, trade holds, account compromise on Steam's side, Valve policy changes. FloatSkins is not responsible for losses caused by Steam, your own security failures, or counterparties violating Steam rules.

The Services - FloatSkins name, logo, FloatDB index, pattern detector, extension code, UI - belong to us or our licensors. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services as intended. CS2 item names, images, and metadata remain property of Valve Corporation.

We may suspend or terminate access at any time, with or without notice, for any Terms violation or legal reason. On termination, listings may be cancelled and withdrawals held for review. Sections on IP, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, and governing law survive termination.

The Services are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that FloatDB data, reference prices, or pattern tiers are error-free; they are informational only.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FloatSkins is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenues, data, or items. Aggregate liability is capped at the greater of fees paid in the last 90 days or USD $100.

You agree to indemnify and hold FloatSkins harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or damage (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.

These Terms are governed by Romanian law. Disputes are resolved in the competent courts of Bucharest, Romania, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your residence provide otherwise.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date and, where practical, communicated by in-app notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
